I woke up with a zombie next to me in the middle of the night, I managed to kill him but that was the scariest shit that ever happened to me. I had happen ONCE with my character and it almost killed me, I cleared a few buildings next to each other, and there were no zombies even in the shouting range, checked many times, so I decided to sleep upstairs with no curtains or anything, in fact my bedroom door was open. Always turn off your lights even with closed curtains. ![]() All unboarded windows increase the chance of this happening as well, so board up all those windows, even upstairs. The chance of this happening increases significantly if you have a TV or door open, less so if you have a refrigerator running. I also don't know how game classifies the area you are sleeping in, so there is ambiguity here as well. I am not sure if barricaded windows count. It can be completely avoided by building anything inside your home, walls, floors, stairs etc. Sleeping event is when the game decides to spawn aggroed zombies inside the room you are sleeping. Boy was I wrong, the name "sleeping event" sounds so innocent but it is the creepiest thing this game has to offer, if not outright unfair. In addition to this, commonly posted memes or variations of common posts, for example, spotting a Sledgehammer or Generator IRL, are also subject to removal.īefore learning what "sleeping event" means, I turned them to highest because I have night terrors in real life, and nightmares exist in game, so I thought I would only have more frequent nightmares in game.
